1. How to use this guide
Most coworking spaces sell a few kinds of seat: a day pass or hot desk (any free seat), a dedicated desk (your own seat), and private cabins or managed offices for teams, usually with meeting rooms booked by the hour. Business centres are similar but lean towards serviced private offices and virtual-office services.
Typical listed hours are about 8 or 9 in the morning to 8 or 9 at night on weekdays, and most spaces are closed on Sunday; members often get longer access. DLF Cyber City (Sector 24)
Cyber City has several of the big names. WeWork Forum and WeWork Building 6 are both here, along with COWRKS Gurgaon, DLF Cybercity Tower 10A, The Office Pass and Guftagu Coworking. Udyog Vihar (Sectors 18–20)
Udyog Vihar is dense with spaces in converted office buildings. Golf Course Road's office towers hold some of the city's premium spaces. Sohna Road's tech parks have a cluster of spaces. 9. Choosing a coworking space: a quick checklist
- Take a day pass first. Work a full day there to judge noise, Wi-Fi, chairs and the coffee.
- Check what's included. Ask about meeting-room hours, printing, parking, guest passes and whether there's a power backup.
- Ask about access hours. Listed hours are often reception hours; members may get longer or 24/7 access.
- Read the agreement. Check the lock-in period, notice period, security deposit and how price rises work.
- Think about the commute. A space near a Rapid Metro or Metro station, or near home, can matter more than the décor.
- For a registered address or GST, ask whether the space offers virtual-office services and what documents they provide.
